Bedrooms

The bedroom is the one room that you should be able to relax in. Whether it be a master bedroom or guest room, or a child's bedroom, the main purpose of this space is to relax, sleep and rejuvenate.

Everyone wants that personal sanctuary. Studies show that your surroundings can make or break a restful sleep.

Usually the bedroom is a space that guests have to be invited into, and they do not stumble upon it, so it really should reflect who you are.

Nowadays the kitchen is centered in the middle of most homes and often opens into the dining room. This allows for easier socializing and even for guests to help with the preparation of the food. Having a nice big island if you are a baker or a cook and being able to have the space to roll out dough for pies, or homemade raviolis. Most of the memories in the kitchen are about the great food and the people you are spending time with in a comfortable environment.

Lanais

Here we are in sunny Florida where we want to have that outdoor living that we moved here for. Part of that includes entertaining, or just being able to cook dinner outside under the stars. The temperature is 67 degrees, you have your grill warm and ready, the food is ready to be prepped, the sizzle of the meat hitting the grill roars as it hits the hot grill. You want to wash the salad and veggies so you can cook them outside. This is all possible if you have an outdoor kitchen or simply a fire pit with a sitting area around it to enjoy with friends, or even just to curl up next to, with a good book.

Powder Bath

The powder bath, also known as a half-bath or the guest bathroom, is a good place to start remodeling when you are doing it step by step. This is the bathroom that your guests will visit and where you want them to feel comfortable and at home.

When you choose to remodel the powder bath, you can consider using energy-efficient elements such as a dual-flush toilet, to use less water per flush. You can choose a simple sink or a more elaborate vintage look. You can have the fixtures match those of the rest of the bathrooms or you can be trendier.
